Royal Gala:

Gala apples are non-uniform in colour, usually vertically striped or mottled, with overall orange color. They are sweet, fine textured, and aromatic, can be added to salads, cooked, or eaten raw, and are especially suitable for creating sauces.

Golden Delicious:

A yellow to green American apple which can be an excellent all-round apple with juicy, sweet, crisp flesh. However, it is inclined to be bland. It is good for cooking, making sorbets, ice creams and sauces, and as a dessert apple. Tree-ripened fruit really are delicious. It cooks to a purée and good for use in baby foods.

Jeromine (Red Delicious):

Skin color is very intense and dark red. Its ability to acquire early red color allow it to be used commercially earlier. It has a crisp white flesh with almost no acidity. Its taste is much better than other Red Delicious varieties as long as it is harvested at the right time.

Granny Smith:

The fruit is hard, with a light green skin and crisp, juicy flesh. The flavour is tart and acidic. It remains firm when baked, making it a very popular cooking apple used in pies, where it can be sweetened. The apple goes from being completely green to turning yellow when overripe.
